A certain summarised entry

God, finally got my internet back on after more than a weeks absence from society. I swear to god, the feeling of not being able to just whip out your laptop or turn on one's computer to check inspect one's mail or social network status is agonizing to say the least, even more so when one frequently takes for granted the ever-ready internet accessibility. When I'm at my uncle's, WIFI...click. When I'm at the mall, WIFI....click. When I'm all the way in Penang, hotel free WIFI...click. When I'm at the mall, Starbucks WIFI leeching...click. But a few days ago, I woke up from a nap in my room and the sudden realisation hit me. So hard that I I thought I must still be dreaming. Yes, for the first time in my life, I cannot access the internet at THAT very instant... Shocking no doubt, but what was there to be done?

But we'll just let bygones be bygones. I have a 1mbps connection speed now (which was supposed to be 4mbps, fuck you Streamyx, I hope you and TM NUT burn in the depths of buffering hell!) as opposed to my old 512kbps. So is it faster?

Dream on. Seriously, TM Nut, you suck. I mean, Kessler has the same package as me and he has speeds no less than 150kbps when torrenting. Me? I'll be lucky if it goes slightly over 50kbps. And at most times, it lingers around the 30 mark. So yeah, upgrade my ass. Giving credit where its due, my speed now touches 80kbps once in a while. But still.

I shall stop whining now.

Anyway, today was yet another typical day at the col.
For one, we almost skipped Maths to follow our Maths Specialist teacher, Mr Eric to go have some.... get ready for it..... Bak Kut Teh at Subang. Imagine this, he said that Miss Rosemarry, our Maths teacher wasn't here today and he proposed the whole class drive out in our separate cars at 10.30am to have some Bak Kut Teh (there was something about mixing Nasi lemak and Bak Kut Teh to form... some dish...Bak Kut Lemak or something like that... watever). So I said we almost went, cause we didnt in the end. On our way out of the college, we saw, much to our, as they call it, bloody-hell-potong steam-dismay, ms Rosemary walking in to college.

Self explanatory. We headed for Maths class. Mr Eric was a lonely man at a Bak Kut Teh restaurant that morning.....

I am also quite joyous today as lol and behold, I actually managed to complete a programming task for a software that displays the cost of an item, receives the tendered amount from the customer, calculates the change to the nearest 10 cents(in favour of the shop owner and then returns the change due. Oh, it also allows the use of credit card and debit card and does all the calculations accordingly.

What can I say, bangga lebih la aku ni...XD

My 18th!

13 March 2010, although one day later, we celebrated my birthday at Mid Valley. Firstly, I want to once again thank everyone (Eugene, Jeremy, Wei Jie, Julia, Julian, Julian, Kessler, Lynette, Benny, Jet, Ian and Sze Kitt) for being there and also for all the amazing presents =)

Here's a recap of the things we did on this memorable day for me ><

Oh yes, did I mention I was involved in a car accident in the morning. Long story and I don't really want to talk or remember bout it... so..... we'll leave it at that.

Either way, managed to make it to mid valley but I was late and everyone was waiting... so so so sorry guys! =(

So we had Kenny Roggers for lunch and we chatted and chatted and chatted, the most important part of a party isn't it? To catch up and joke around. And joking around with you guys is much more potent than going to Russell Peter's routine! XD

Then, it was present time.

1. Wei Jie and Kitt's present

Yup, an exact replicar (pun intended) of my future MYVI XD. I was expecting a revenge gag gift from Wei Jie but I guess he was being kind =)

2. Kessler's Gift

It's hands-down the biggest. Haha. Look at that black Box! It had a card, a very inspirational big mug which I can, in the future consume my maggi mee from and my favourite, DVD's containing season 2 and 3 of Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei! Thanks so much Eufo chan (kessler)!

3. Julia's present

It's this spinning-surfer-thingy. Haha. It runs on some counterweight mechanism and I love it! Haha. Thx Juls my dear. Hope you enjoyed your date ;)

4. Shane's present

A photoframe that matches my shirt and phone. I'll be putting in our outing's group photo! Arrgatou shane!

5. Jet gave me a card 2 days ago which said: To Leon, Dont open till Birthday. Haha

Then we went to watch a movie, Edge of Darkness

Lets get this straight before anyone who reads this plan to watch this show:
There's nothing in here that has anything to do with darkness, nor the edge. Its crap that's wat it is. The pace is slow with to much dialogue (i fell asleep) and the plot is predictable and dry. The plus points of the show might be the cheap but oh-so satisfying scares as well as the above-par acting. But seriously, dont, dont watch it. I mean, if you want to blow some cash, you should find something more worthwhile for your buck, say... give it to me? So sorry everyone for choosing this stupid show =(

Mel Gibson may be the only salvation of this movie. He pulls of the desperate-dad-with-nothing-to-loose role with ease and oomph. The rest of the movie? ZZZZzzzzzzzzz

And so that ends our day. I would like to thank everyone again for everything! I am going to miss all of you! Hope we can meet up like this often in the future! Thx for the unforgettable Birthday!

BRATs Storm Sunway Pyramid!

Though the participation for last Saturday's BRATs Melaka 09 reunion was far from encouraging, that didn't stop us from having a blast! Ok, here's the low down:

We 'planned' to meet up at 11.30, so I dragged Kessler there early in the morning (yes, Kess joined us! Haha) and when we reached there, what happens? We saw only Andrian....

Tristan? Oh he was real punctual. Heard he just woke up was rushing to Sunway when we called him.

We were much later joined by Jay Chong, Saren and Marissa. Oh, and I discovered this interesting restaurant to eat at thanks to Saren's suggestion.

Note: The following paragraphs will contain some form of advertisement for the said dining establishment because the writer has the hope of benefiting from a generous discount that the cafe may provide.

Introducing Cafe Full House

Upon entering, you are greeted by the Cafe's mascot family: An adorable group of big-headed and friendly looking people. The cafe's ambiance strikes you like a a ray of like through you're curtains in the morning. It's white walls and furniture give a sense of class and each corner of the cafe is adorned with classy décor making you feel as if you have just walked into a old country house.

The menu is another highlight of the Cafe as it comes on the form of a magazine, listing all the food choices be it ala carte or the adorably pictured set meals.

They were presented in the form of a drawing. Though the illustrations of what the food looked like may be a bit off, it's still charming to see a handsomely drawn picture of your meal. I ordered this: Fish Fillet on Mash Potatoes and Vegetables.

We also did some on-the-spot decided activities such as visiting the Arcade, and playing Daytona(again...why is it every time Daytona?), some air hokey and some shooting games. You can see the video of Tristan and Andrian squaring off in Air Hokey down below.

Then, its off to the bowling alley where I had the most insane 2-set games in awhile. The video will explain more.... I just hope we're not black-listed on the bowling alleys name list...XD

I'm gonna miss you guys! Happy times!

CNY Outing at Mid Valley!

It was supposed to a gathering for all our old SBU friends. But in the end, everyone was not free to come. So it was down to just the organizers and a few others.

We had a bowling session which Julia did not want to play, claiming that her skirt was to short or something... Hah. Poor Daryl had to pay for her too.

It was fun, we ended up just playing without waiting our turn or looking at the score. Julia's profile had quite a high score, considering she did not even play once.

Oh. And Kah Mun CAN'T BOWL. I just found out XD.
Perhaps the ball was too heavy for her, even the 8 ball.
So we took turns drumming techniques into her (and confusing her in the process) as if we knew all about bowling ourselves.

At first she had non-stop gutter balls.
Then, she managed to hit 1 pin down
Then 2
Then....well, 2 is actually really good enough. It's not going to increase linearly with time. That would be a miracle.

Yup, we really had to teach her. Interesting how she swings the ball. Haha.

And then we went to the Arcade and did a bit of racing Daytona again. And amongst me, Daryl and Mark, Kah Mun and Julia, Julia got 1st place. This was obviosly rigged. Mark was good and i'm not bad as well. But to loose to Julia?

It was simple, I have it figured out:
1. Julia bribed Lyra to block Mark non-stop throughout the race so he wouldn't take 1st place.

2. Julia asked Kah Mun to drive real slow and wait for me at the end of the big corner so that I would crash into her. I did. 3 times. And I got last.

I'm on to them..

The smile on their faces show it....

After continuously forming group circles to plan where to go next, we decided to have japanese food.

Watched Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief. Overall it was an interesting movie and rather humorous.

Next trip people, you better all come!! Haha.

And a very Happy CNY people!

Just got back from Penang on Thursday but was too lazy busy to blog.

Anyways, it was fun and boring at the same time. It was boring cause I was just following around my relatives and playing cards and Mah Jong for long long long hours....

But it was fun cause I was able to play with my little nephew!!

Cute isn't he? Love him soo much!
He really loved playing fireworks, or rather, watching me play fireworks. So i actually spend 2 hours plus playing with him XD

Stayed at the G Hotel in Penang. My fav hotel. If only I knew they had upgraded to 42 inch LCD TVs, I would have brought my XBOX along XD

Happy CNY everyone!

Yeah, I would love to go there! But money and time might be a factor. Lets just pray.

Best Friday

Last Friday not only marked the end of college and break for the chinese new year, it was also a helluva a day!

We started of playing some basketball as we would every Friday morning, this time with Edwin joining us. Now, last week's basketball session didn't turn out very good due to the wet floor. This week, it was cool and dry and we WHACKED the court nicely la. XD

We were scoring non-stop, everyone seemed to be in good form. And later, we attempted to sneak past the security guards to get to Edwin's apartment for a break and shower.

Now i just realised this, Edwin's bed room has a freakin' nice view of the lake down below!

Ok, dont mind me there, I was just high. Playing basketball in the morning can do that.

Not only were the students in the overly Chinese-New-Year-Mood, the teachers were no better. Classes were cut from 2 hours to 1 on that day and the teachers had the same impatient look on their faces. Everyone wanted the hols to begin- who can blame them.

Went for lunch with parents and aunt at our favourite japanese restaurant.

Yes.... Drool people...

And to top it off, I later went to Giant and guess wat i got??

And the moment I've been waiting for since last year:

So yeah, great Chinese New Year for me. Gong Xi Fa Chai everyone!
